De Britse Vodafone Group heeft de Nederlandse markt betreden via een aandeel in Libertel. Vodafone is nummer 2 op de Nederlandse markt voor mobiele telefonie. In 2007 werd “Vodafone ADSL” geïntroduceerd, telefonie via een vaste lijn in combinatie met internet.
Vodafone Nederland maakt deel uit van de wereldwijde Vodafone Group. Dit is het meest toonaangevende telecommunicatiebedrijf voor mobiele telefonie ter wereld, met proportioneel ruim 200 miljoen klanten in vijf continenten.
